This sampling is conducted periodically during the swimming season by Six Ponds volunteers.
For the year 2001, the Plymouth Board of Health is no longer directing nor paying for water quality sampling in the Six Ponds area. Their responsibilities are now limited to public beaches. Camps are required to do their own sampling, and that information is included where available.
Massachusetts water quality standards for E.Coli in recreational waters is 200 per 100ml of water.
